‘JOY’ was a simple, practical packaging to design with the only challenge to appeal to the lady green thumbs and the young gardeners of today. Therefore, some time spent with these target audience was esssential as i found out it was not so much as the design of the packaging they were looking for, but more of the practicality and generosity of the information that embodied the packaging. That being said, seeds were packaged into small cloth bags (penetrateable by the seeds roots) pertruding outwards from fruit shaped die cuts. Practical for the ladies to tear the cloth out of the box and plant immediately into the ground with the cloth bag. Information on gardening tips, seasons, recipes were generously accordian folded into the packaging with ease to pull it out and reading it’s content.
